1) Spaced repetition to remember what you study

Spaced repetition is the purest form whenever you learn something. Then you wait a period, then you review it again.
This review strengthens your memory. But there is a correct way and wrong way to do spaced repetition.
Do you know assume you have memorized something right now.
According to researches have done so far proves after one hour, your memory about that particular thing reduced up to 44%. Likewise, this percentage can gradually decline with time.
so how we can remember what you study?
Hermann Ebbinghaus did some research about this, and he made a curve for this called “ Forgetting curve.”

So the key finding of Hermann Ebbinghaus’s study was that you have to space out of your study material.
Then you would remember more of it than if you have just one long extended session.
So all thing you have to do is study a little bit about something and review it the next day. Likewise, repeat it.

So what he found is once you learn something, then review it. That reviewing is going to strengthen more than you have just discovered it for the first time. do this and you can realize how to remember what you study.
- So you learn something today.

- Then you forget it.

- And tomorrow you review it

- Then you relearn it.

Not only it’s going less time to relearn it’s going to be stronger when you relearn it. every time you review and study it’s going to be stronger.
2) Test yourself during the study

When you studying if we can involve in a task or vigorous review without looking at material then we remember more. This point is a one of the best solutions for “How to remember what you study”
So what is the meaning of “vigorous review without looking at material “?
‘When you review if you simply reread the data it’s useless. Why because is when you reread it’s not a review. Which means the only thing is you are doing is you reading it again.
But you may feel like “Oh! I know this, I know this”. But actually it’s not in your memory. We call this type of review or that type of study we called it “Illusion of confidence”.
which means you can’t remember what you study using this way.
So how do we beat to Illusion of confidence? How to we test ourselves during tests taking? Wait I will teach you.
This is what you should do. It is whenever you study, you don’t look at the material once and study by looking at it again.
Instead, you look at the material and you put it down. Then you test yourself that how much you can recall.
In this type of review, we have to repeat information in our head is actually strengthen your memory a lot more than just reread the data. Because that’s an active review of your task.
This type of review is much more effective.

You may have games you may like. Let’s say tennies or cricket or football or something else. Even you may like walking, that’s okay.
The thing you have to do is take leverage exercises that you may want during your studies.
After doing exercise, your brain will be fresh and active, and it’s going to give benefits to your studies.
One of the reasons that our brain is so much alert and fresh after exercise is something called BDNF (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor).
And this BDNF is produced during practice, and it’s going to give you a mental boost and mental clarity.
So at the very least before you study, go for a walk, or do some pushups or do whatever exercises you can. then you can understand the best answer for ‘How to remember what you study’

When you wake up the next day, you will remember more what you learn.

I know you are finding answers to the problem “How to remember what you study”. trust me and try-out this.
So why is that? It’s because sleep replaces what we learn during the day. If we allow going through the sleep cycle get eight hours of sleep.
However, if we don’t get a full night of sleep our brain doesn’t do trough sleep cycles. Therefore it doesn’t replay everything that you learn the previous day.

There is advice for you. When you study definitely you need a good night of sleep day before the test.
But it is equally as important to get a good night of sleep each night that you learn something.

So why is that? It’s because sleep replaces what we learn during the day. If we allow going through the sleep cycle, get eight hours of sleep.

5) Trust your memory to remember what we study

When you are studying for a test, spend enough time on what you consider where you can see, you are figuring out the data and figuring out what it means.
But don’t spend too much time on it. Keep moving. So one of the reasons you want to do that is often time in the text or whatever you are studying, you may find later the answer is revealed later on the text.
It helps you figure out what that meant initially.
That goes when test-taking as well. If you are taking a test and question pops up, and you don’t know the answer too, skip that question and continue taking tasks.
Often time there will be hence later on the test in another item that helps you go back and figure out that question.
So trust your memory and keep moving and keep progressing.
And then end of your study figure out what it is that you didn’t really understand and go back and focus on that and make sure that you get it.
so eventually you trust your memory and see the results. definitely you can remember what you study.
6) Implement the Pomodoro technique
Here you can study 25 minutes of chunks. In other words, you consider 25 minutes and take 5 minutes break and repeat it.

Especially this needs to be a focused study. Turn off the TV, Facebook, all social media. Turn off your phone. Twenty-five minutes is an uninterrupted study.
During that study, if you get distracted by something, write it down in peace of paper and go back to your studies.
Then another 5-minute break you can check whatever that distraction was and or you can go for a walk. Then BDNF exercise is going to focus your brain.
so try out this method and get the harvest. I promise you, you can remember what you study.
7) Create an audio

This technic also one of the most significant studies hack you can tryout. So the thing is you have to do is get the things you can’t memorize and make audio by using your phone.
So you can listen to that audio whenever you are not studying. As an example, you can listen to it while you are walking or on the bus or anywhere you can listen to that.
so by doing this, definitely you can remember what you study
8) Use the mind palace

Have you ever heard word mind palace? Well, this can be the most attractive study technique for you. Take a good breath and read carefully. you can understand another good way to remember what you study.
Mind palace is essentially a room or building that you have memorized, and you use the locations in that room to store data. Let me explain it with an example.
If you are going to a party one of your friend’s houses and once you headed there you may keep your jacket on a chair, or maybe you may put your helmet on a table. Then after three-four hours of enjoyable time, when are you going back to your home what you are doing to your helmet and jacket? Without your control, you are taking the jacket and hat where the places you put them off. That’s precisely what is mind palace is.
You memorize locations in a room. And later, you go back to those locations to retrieve information that you want to remember.
The easy way to make your mind palace, stand in a door every room of your house.
Stand near the door

Now start at the left. Go around the room clockwise and choose five items that you can easily remember. If those items are a little bit big, that’s good. Useful things to want would be a desk, TV, refrigerator, microwave, sink, computer, etc.
Number them 1 to 5. Now go to the next room and do the same thing. But when you are numbering, those items start from 6 and end from 10.(because you are talking only five elements).
So go to every room and do the same thing. But don’t take the same item from two places. Let’s assume you took 25 items.

These locations are going to be places where you are going to metally store data in your mind palace.
Now once you have these locations in your room with numbers, then you close your eyes and say all the items with the names 1 to 25.
And say it backwords. Do it forward and backward over and over again until you can tell it immediately, or if someone asks, what is the number 17? Then you got to say to it what it was.
Is that hard?

So don’t think as I told you to memorize all the items and with numbers. But that’s wrong. You already have in the memory all of those items.
The only thing I have told you to give them names. You have to try it out once for better understand.
Now the next problem how you can use this for memorizing something.
Let’s say if you have to remember a list of texts. So you number all of them and take one by one. Okay, let’s say we took number 8. Let’s say it’s the cat. And let’s get item number 8 of our mind palace as the bed. So we can simply remember the “cat is sleeping in bed.”
Probably you may feel what’s nonsense and it’s very hard. But try out this and realize how easy to remember things by using this technique. Trust me this a very handy answer for your problem “How to remember what you study”
